Hello! i was busy the last times , so i couldnt post nothin new, but im here now with a first touch of what could be a remix in live with my system.
all the music part is created by me in ableton live and and some synths ,then sequenced with the video patterns, i added some fx to show the possibilities that brings the system in a live act.

HOW INCREASE MIDI RESOLUTION

Today i was messing up with older patches from my reakor ensemble and i just found something very interesting, altough i took the decision to go over OSC protocol,
there is one way to use midi as the protocol . until now i couldnt use midi beccause it was not useful for large video files . one CC it was not good for smooth playback.
but what happen if i use more than one cc ??? this was the key, to split my value in Two, three,four CC´s, so i get much more resolution. Now, video playback is much more smooth , even for very large videos. or if you just need more precision to control something, split the data i a good way.

Im here again!!.

This video shows how i edit patterns to make a performance,i have several options to make the patterns as the video shows(GATE,OFFSET,SELECT,REVERSE & LENGTH).
Then after that you can easily switch between patterns with a midi keyboad or anything that sends midi or OSC(i tried with an iphone via OSC and it works really good!), and this makes the system extremely flexible for live performance and improvisation.
Until now i can use until 500 patterns that is huge quantity i think.
any suggestions would be nice to improve the sequencer.

Well, i post here te last revision that i made for the reaktor patch. now it looks much more better! i improved my skills in skinning, and i fix some bugs from the sampler, this is near te final patch i think. two channels with AV crossfade and some fx.

REAKTOR + OSC + VVVV

This is the first attempt to create a stable system for a/v triggering in live performance.
I choose Reaktor as the audio engine because of the many possibilities that gives to sample processing.

In the video part i choose VVVV, altough is not the best option for this pupose because it has some problems in video switching fast. (i need a Mac).
a good option will be VDMX but i didnt experienced it.
to connect them to make the hard work, i finally decided for OSC to data transmission, first i try a lot with midi, i was thinking it was the way really, and you can do the most of the stuff with midi, but i lacks in a really important thing:
Resolution.
Yes, 0 to 127 its not good way to seek 20 seconds of video.
So, i used OSC because its really awesome how transmit the data,and the resolution is much more big than midi .
In the next posts i will explain the Audio and Video patches and how i use Reaktor to send data to VVVV.
